Invited Presentation Schedule

Engineering Process Presentations - Sunday, June 2 - UMD School of Public Health

Teams that scored in the top of their respective class during engineering process judging have been invited to present during presentation sessions on the second day of competition. Presentations are open to other teams, mentors and spectators. The goal of these sessions is to highlight the efforts of teams and to promote discussion surrounding the engineering process.

Citizen Science Tech Talks - Sunday, June 2 - Eppley Recreation Center Gym

Teams that submitted citizen science abstracts have been invited to present short tech talks introducing their citizen science concept and novel SeaPerch design for real-world applications. These talks will be structured as short sessions and are open to all teams, mentors and spectators

Spectator Registration is now closed.

$50/each

Any person (classmates, teachers, mentors, advisors, parents and friends) may* register as a spectator for the SeaPerch Challenge. The registration fee is $50 and includes:

  • An official t-shirt
  • Access to all competition events
  • Lunch on both days of competition

Spectators should make reservations for accommodations at nearby hotels, if needed. 

*It is not required to register as a spectator to attend the competition.

Parking Information

Parking at UMD is limited and all visitors must pay to park on campus ($3 per hour).  During the weekend, parking is free in the parking lots/garages only. Parking Directions: If you are driving a vehicle to campus, you will need to navigate towards the Terrapin Trail Garage and park in LOT 6, located inside the garage.  

Teams arriving on Friday May 31, should plan to arrive after 4pm when LOT 6 (Terrapin Trail Garage) becomes available for any guests. Prior to 4pm, LOT 6 (Terrapin Trail Garage) is reserved permit parking only.  If you arrive prior to 4pm, you will need to pay for parking in metered spaces or the XFINITY VIsitor Lot until you can relocate your vehicle to LOT 6 after 4pm.
